Stag And Doe Ideas

By smithdm3 - Posted on 15 January 2004

I get a lot of hits (found in my refer logs) for Stag and Doe type ideas. So I'll ask you people to help me out by providing ideas that you have, and then hopefully when people visit here they won't be so dissapointed. :)

Comment away!

Wow, after four years, this post just keeps on raking in traffic and comments. We're up to 153 individual comments. Now, some of them are questions, but really, it's pretty amazing how giving people have been. My friend Kev is trying to provide a similar service with master of ceremony (MC/emcee) speech ideas/jokes.

Go to or .ca they do custom tickets for dirt cheap!

I went to Staples for mine and it was only 20 bucks for 250 and they were really cute. I got to personalize them myself.

And when I wanted to order more it was only $5 per 100 is the place to get tickets made. I paid 7 dollars total for 250 tickets. You can personalize them the way you want.

Can you guide me as to where on the website you found tickets for 7 bucks....did you just use business cards? I can't seem to find tickets but I do need my tickets to be larger than business cards.

We just finished planning a stag and doe for our friends, and now we are planning our own. An activity that worked greatfor our friends was "pie in the face". Have the DJ or a friend who is a good public speaker auction off a pie to be thrown in the face of the bride and one to be thrown at the groom. DOnt use real pie because its costly... use a paper plate and whipping cream. STart the bid at $20.00. It is a lot of fun. Have the bride/groom wear a rain coat or a garbage bag over their clothes.

Have two jars - each labeled HIS and HERS (or their names etc...) Then have people put toonies in them all night. The jar with the most money in it at the end of the night determines who gets the pie in the face! (and maybe put a pie in the face of the other too - as a fun surprise for everyone)

What is a toonie?

In Canada we got rid of the $2&$1 paper bill and its a coin. We have a Loon on them...hence a dollar is a Loonie and 2 dollars is a Toonie :)

I would totally scrap the garbage bag or rain coat idea!! Kinda takes all the fun out of it I think!!! We are thinking of doing cupcakes 2/$5 one for bride one for groom, can be purchased at anytime, and can be "faced" at anytime, no warning neccesary!!

Another way to do the pie in the face is to have 2 separate jars with bride and groom written on them. During the course of the night people put money into whichever one they want to "wear" the pie. Then near the end of the night you have an auction to decide who gets to put the pie in the face of whoever has the most money in their jar. We are doing it this way at our stag & doe and my maid of honour did it at hers. Her sister was the auction winner. She paid $75 to put the pie into her face....grand total money wise was $550.

handcuff them together for the night
where on goes the other goes
really funny if they have to go to the bathroom or puke

we are planning a pie in the face --- all the wedding party is involved & whoever raises the most money will get the whipcream pie in the face

i am also planning a buck and doe and trying to figure our wat to rite on them --but i am buying business cards from stapels and printing them all of the computer so no handwrighting !! also for my main door prize on the tickets i am selling i am putting numbers on the top left and bottom right hand conners whn they come to the door we rip the tickte in half stick one half with the number in a box and the other half the guests keep and at the end of the night whatever number i draw who holds that number wins the door prize--

I hope your computer had spell check.

i dont have a sample letter but i do know what needs to be included
* who
*event and when
*why u thought of that company
*straight to point, state what you want
have bride/groom sign and have contact info/time to be reached

i am actually the bride (date is sept 8/07) i am doing majority of the planning myself. thanks for some of the ideas

one that i am going to do is the standard pie in the face can do auction for it, or individual pies (whipped cream in pie tin) for $5 a pop

THANKS SOOOO MUCH!! I am a maid of honour for a friends wedding and the stag and doe has been left as my responsibility...this page was the best thing i found!! great ideas guys!!

My fiance and I are going on a disneymoon (Disney World for our Honeymoon) and they sell bride and groom "ears" that are really cute...we ordered our on ebay the brides our pick and sparkly with a veil and the grooms is a black top hat with black ears...we plan to get our use out of them by wearing them at the stag and doe...another fun idea is to make them homemade tshirts that specify their role with a picture and then you could always add a checklist of drinks on the back that they have to have bought for them throughout the night...hope these help

My wedding party is throwing su a stag & doe this coming June and they purchased custom tickets from it was something like $40 for 250 tickets delivered right to your door

And I just checked - it was about $35 for 300 now :)

Have them wear each others clothes for the evening!!!

A great way to make money ..You have to pay to dance with the bride and groom .. you mix the music up so that no one really knowns what type of song they will be dancing to.. a dollar a dance for 5 mins..

At my stag and doe I made my own tickets just by using a word prgm and printing them onto special cardboard paper which comes in hundreds of designs like wedding bells, ball and chain etc. I just cut them out afterwards and they looked great and only cost about $20 for the paper and the ink

I was just wondering where you purchased your special cardboard paper

Thanks, this site is awesome.

Be very careful with your black jack tables, poker tables, crown and anchor, twoonie tosses, and raffles. They are cracking down on all of these, unless you buy a gaming license. Just to watch out for. their is even such a thing as a raffle license which charges you 3% of the total money spent on prizes.

I am pretty sure you need to be a charitable organization to apply for a raffle license.

What is crown & anchor and toonie toss?

sell cricket insurance people buy cricket insurance for 1 dollar at the door so when and if they do win a prize they need to eat a cricket to collect prize if insurance wasn"t bought. find a small tack hammer at dollar store and a log 1 dollar least hits to sink a big nail.

What is a bride kissing booth

I'm not understanding how this bidding works for this me out
