Cheers to 2008 and Best of Luck in 2009

Just wanted to leave you all a "Happy New Year" message. 2008, while not the greatest of year's for the economy, or the world in general was a good year for myself and Meg. I welcomed Meg back to Ottawa after her volunteering experience with UNICEF in Boliva for most of calendar year 2007.

The winter was a tough one, and one we were glad to see over with. We did our best with it while it was here though, enjoying a skate or two on the canal. I visited a sugar bush for the first time. :) My niece was baptized and became a god father for the first time.

The spring brought rain, and finally some more outdoor Ultimate. We escaped town for a cottage weekend with my friend Tina Traini and some of her other compatriots. The rain didn't let up all summer. Meg and I took a brief respite in Prince Edward County to relax during the summer and each enjoyed some fabulous cottage weekends as bachelor(ette) parties with our friends. We enjoyed friends Al and Matt's wedding at the Museum of Civilization.

We spent the year preparing for our wedding, and celebrated that finally in October. It was a beautiful day, and a great chance to see all of our family and friends. November saw us honeymoon in Cuba and then December brought Christmas. All in all a decent year.

I wish you and your families well in 2009. May it be another excellent year!
