Canadian Diamonds

Canada is the 3rd largest diamond producer in the world. Pretty crazy huh? When I finally get the chance to purchase a stone for a loved one, I'll be making sure it's a Canadian one.

Canadian diamond producers can't cope with demand now at the moment though. With 2 mines open and a few more on the radar screen, hopefully the supply will get better. They say that Canada isn't just rich in diamonds, but that the diamonds are of high quality as well. Sweet. Anyway, a great new billion dollar ($720 mill in 1H2003) industry for Canada's north.
