Debt Free in 2003!
While Canada's Disposable Income vs. Debt is dwindling, I'm happy to say that in a relatively short number of weeks I'll be debt free! That's right... While on a net basis I'm currently debt free (I could liquidate some assets and pay off debt if necessary), I'm about to eliminate the only real source of debt I have. My car loan. Financed with Toyota in 2000, my Corolla has treated me well. To honour it, I'm going to pay off the car one year early! And then, that's it... no more debt (I carry no balance on my credit card)!
It's so exciting... Now I can continue saving to by my own residence of some sort so I can avoid these taxing rent payments every month! Wooooo hooo.... saving in order to incur more debt, kind of sad isn't it?
I'm a couple of months ahead of you Dave. It's a good feeling isn't it ;-)

Well, I'm very proud of you - for someone who has "Can't Save" disease, you've done very well!
