NHL Draft Lottery Not Televised??

Why wouldn't they televise this thing? Maybe I'm wrong and they are planning on getting it on TV, but I haven't seen anything about it yet. I mean, they could have Sidney there to accept a hat and jersey and everything. Doesn't bode well for their new marketing strategies does it? I mean, hey, why not capitalize on the most exciting thing to happen this extended off-season?

Disc Golf Tourney

Rob and I played in a disc golf tourney called the Capital Classic on the weekend, and boy was it interesting. Rob and I try to get out to Jacques Cartier weekly to play a round, but this tourney packed over three rounds into two days. Talk about craziness.
Anyway, the result was that I was absolutely horrible on Saturday... +27 and +25 over 23 and 22 holes respectively... It's been over a year since I shot that bad. (The 25 was a little more than a slight improvement as we did play from the yellow tees which are further back).

Another Ride Along

I went on another ride along with Amy Saturday night and it turned out to be another interesting evening. We had an array of interesting calls including a shoplifter, a suspected DUI, an accused 'dine and dash' fraud, and some drunk kids. Amy showed off her know-how with some great police tricks. "Think like a criminal" she said, and it in fact worked. :)

Mouthy, entitled, drunk kids can be a real pain in the ass. :)

Thanks again for the opportunity Amy, can't wait to do it again.

Wanted: Gallery to Flickr Migration Tool

I'm with Kevin... I'd like to move my photos from Gallery into Flickr (especially now that I've got my Mac and am starting to use iPhoto). The problem is, I've got a lot of photos to move over, that already have some annotation (well, some of them anyway), and they are already grouped together... so... doesn't someone out there want to create a tool to migrate the photos from one to the other? Please??? I already asked Boris and he doesn't think that it already exists...

Google Maps Pedometer...

Very cool tool :)

This is the route from my new place to Rob and Anna's... :) Now I know it's around 2.2 km, and my old route is 2.7 km.

Crosby and Europe... Hypocrite?

So I hear that Sidney Crosby is negotiating to possibly play in Europe. Oddly enough, he said a while back he wouldn't play as a replacement player in the NHL because it wouldn't be the best league in the world... but ... now that he might have capped earnings with the new CBA in the NHL he might go back on that... hypocritical is it not?

Happy Canada Day!

Best wishes on this great day straight from the nation's capital! :D
